About St Christophers Hospice
About This Shop
St Christopher’s Hospice exists to promote and provide skilled and compassionate palliative care of the highest quality. Our vision is of a world in which all dying people and those close to them have access to appropriate care and support, when they need it, wherever they need it, and whoever they are.
St Christopher’s care services are delivered in a range of settings including patients’ own homes, four inpatient wards, and our Anniversary Centre. Our palliative care is delivered by coordinated teams of specialist doctors and nurses; physiotherapists and occupational therapists; social workers and welfare support workers and also includes adult bereavement services psychiatrist support; arts and complementary therapies; spiritual and religious care; and support for bereaved children.
We are a registered charity. We get some funding from the NHS but must make up the rest of our annual running costs through a combination of – the generous support of our local communities, our charity shops as well as from local businesses, trusts, grants, and legacies. Items which can be sold in our charity shops include · Clothing – Bric-a-brac · Books – Adults’ shoes · Accessories – DVDs CDs · Small electrical/furniture items. Our East Dulwich shop can also take larger furniture items and flat-screen TVs. For information regarding St Christopher’s shops, contact the General Manager – Trading, on 020 8768 4514.
